Music Therapy and Music Lessons for Northern Virginia and Beyond

About Hannah

Hannah Lane (neé Yearick) is a board-certified Music Therapist and Loudoun County native. She has been teaching music lessons since 2006 and graduated from Shenandoah University with a Bachelor of Music Therapy.

Hannah began playing piano at the age of eight, and later took up guitar and viola to participate in local music ensembles. While a Presidential Scholar at Shenandoah, she continued taking private lessons on piano and viola, and had tons of fun singing in the chorus, strengthening her guitar skills, playing viola in the symphony, and performing with the musical theatre pit orchestra. Currently she is stretching her synthesizer muscles in the band Ransomed Soul with her husband, Matt!

Hannah has over 20 years experience working with clients of all ages and abilities, and she feels privileged to help people find joy and growth through music.

About Matt

Matt Lane is a guitarist who loves big riffs, dynamic textures, and finding the parts that make a song hit just right. Whether locking in rhythm or adding melodic layers, his goal is always to serve the music and elevate the band’s sound. Matt began playing guitar at a young age and has not looked back. Along the way many paths have been experienced, from contract touring, to collegiate study of music theory, to studio session work, teaching, and more.

At the end of the day, the passion and love for music is and always will be a huge part of what makes Matt… well, Matt.

“We have loved taking piano with Hannah! She offers an immense amount of music knowledge and skill while providing personalized lessons for my daughters and their specific abilities. Aside from that, she is kind and cheerful and a joy to be around.”
